Adelson do Prado

Adelson Filadelfo do Prado (Vitória da Conquista, Bahia, 1944–2013). Painter and draughtsman. Self-taught, he began drawing at thirteen, copying religious images and the churches of his city. In 1960 he organised the 1st Convention of Local Artists and unveiled the mural at the Monteiro Lobato Public Library in Vitória da Conquista. In 1977 he unveiled the mural in the Salão Nobre of the Tribuna de Honra at the Maracanã Stadium in Rio de Janeiro.
