Lucia Koch
b. Porto Alegre, 1966
Born in Porto Alegre in 1966. From 1992 to 1996 she took part in the collective project Arte Construtora, occupying houses, parks and an island in various Brazilian cities. From 2004 to 2006 she worked on the creation of JAMAC — Jardim Miriam Arte Clube, a collective art space in the south of São Paulo. She is among the founding artists of ali:leste, a free art school created in 2018 to train artists in São Paulo's peripheries. She teaches at the University of São Paulo.
