Marcelo Monteiro

Marcelo Monteiro is a visual artist born in Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul.
His work spans printmaking, illustration, video-dance, performance, drawing and documentary. He is a founding member of Amigos do Atelier Livre and of Grupo Pelos Muros, dedicated to large-format prints for urban interventions. He works as installation coordinator at the Mercosul Biennial, art director at Estúdio Hybrido, and teaches woodcut and lithography at the Museu do Trabalho in Porto Alegre.
