Valéria Pena-Costa

Valéria Pena-Costa is a visual artist born in Monte Carmelo, Minas Gerais.
With a BA in Painting from the University of Brasília, she lives and works in Brasília, working across multiple languages — painting, drawing, ceramics, assemblage and installation — with time, memory and the decomposition of materials as her principal research focus.
She has taken part in numerous solo and group exhibitions and coordinates the Projeto Fuga, running artist residencies, workshops and exhibitions in her studio. Since 2024 she has been represented by Cerrado Galeria.
