Yohanna Marie is a multicultural artist — visual artist, performer, researcher, actor and singer — born in Salvador, Bahia, where she lives and works.
She graduated in Performing Arts and holds a master's in Visual Arts from UFBA. Her work is marked by a poetics built around the relation between women and the waters of the world. She moves across many languages: installation, analogue projection, printmaking, performance, photo-performance, performative writing and sound cartographies of the sea. Moving with mastery across several artistic fields, Yohanna is among the great talents of the new generation of Bahian artists.
