About the artist
Adriana Aparecida Mendonça is from Buriti Alegre, Goiás. She holds a degree in Visual Arts (teaching and BA) from the Federal University of Goiás, a master's in Cultural Heritage (PUC/Goiás, 2005) and in Art and Visual Culture (UFG, 2008), and a doctorate in Art and Visual Culture (UFG, 2018). She is a member of the research group Ateliê Livre de Gravura: Pesquisa e Procedimentos Experimentais e Gravura e Estamparia, and coordinates the research project Fanzinoteca Virtual Coleção Manual-Zine: Narrativas de Processos. Her research covers printmaking, drawing and painting. She teaches at the Faculty of Visual Arts of the Federal University of Goiás, where she coordinates the printmaking studio, and works with prints, artist's books, illustrated books and fanzines. She is an author and illustrator of children's books, with an emphasis on the picture book, and has taken part in many exhibitions of objects, paintings, collages, drawings and prints.
