About the artist
Antônio Dias Júnior is a visual artist born in Abaetetuba, Pará, with a degree in Visual Arts from the Federal University of Pará.
He works on supports such as paper and canvas, using oil, graphite and collage. His research starts from his own reality and focuses on representing informal workers and Black and mixed-race people, articulating a social critique that brings forward the Amazonian population and subjects historically pushed to the margins, while foregrounding their singularity.
