Emily Guimarães, born 2002, is a visual artist and independent curator, born and living in Belém. Her painting starts from experiences bound to landscape, memory and territory. In her work the image is built through overlays of time — above all of places and moments that no longer exist — creating relations between atmosphere, displacement and lived experience.
