About the artist
Zandra Miranda was born in Campinas, São Paulo. She graduated in Art Education from the State University of Campinas (1995) and holds a master's in Arts from the University of Illinois (1997). She completed her doctorate in Visual Arts at Unicamp in 2008 with the thesis Convite ao encontro caótico entre a Cerâmica, a Gravura e o Fogo.
She is a tenured professor at the Federal University of São João del-Rei, teaching on the Applied Arts course and in the interdisciplinary postgraduate programme in Arts, Urbanity and Sustainability (PIPAUS). Her practice investigates a borderland language between printmaking and ceramics.
